ABSTRACT |
One-dimensional estuary salinity model was developed with a random walk particle tracking method. This model was applied to the Tyne Estuary in England. Hydraulic input data of the random walk model was produced from DYNHYD5 of WASPS Model. The random walk model calculated one-dimensional salinity distribution of the estuary. Application results indicate that model building of random walk particle tracking model was easier than FDM or FEM model. And this method has flexibility of element size and time step. Calculated salinity distribution of the Tyne Estuary by random walk particle tracking model represent the measured salinity distribution effectively. |
