PERSPECTIVES OF WATER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT

ABSTRACT
The goal of the water supply management is placed on the providing nation with sufficient, clean, and safe water. For the efficient operation of the water supply system, water quantity management, water quality management, water demand management, operation management, and alternative water resource development were presented. Policies focusing on water saving like encouraging the installation of water conservation devices and reuse system were discussed in detail. As for the drinking water quality man¬agement, the standards of criteria will be more strengthened and specified from 47 items now. And also privatization of water works was proposed to enhance the efficiency of water facility.
